Pit Setup, Scrutineering, and Battery Quarantine

The paper you scanned was in your team’s designated pit area. HOLD ONTO THIS PAPER. YOU WILL NEED IT LATER IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. You have approximately 10’ x 10’ of space to set up your team’s area. Unload your car and equipment as quickly as possible so that we can move your vehicle/trailer as soon as possible to allow room for more people to arrive and unload their items as well. Once your vehicle/trailer is unloaded, please make sure you park the vehicle/trailer in the designated team parking area shown on the map below.

Pit Tents with walls are allowed at this event. Cars can be worked on inside the four walls until it is ready for scrutineering. Once it has been through scrutineering, the car must be worked on in plain view of everyone.

Once your area is set up and the vehicle/trailer is parked, please begin the process of preparing your car for inspection. Your car must be in race-ready condition, with your Heat 1 batteries installed, when you take it to the scrutineering area at Pit Exit (see map).

Your scrutineering form is with the scrutineers. You do not need to go to the timing trailer to get the form.

All teams must bring their Heat 2 batteries, as well as, any additional batteries that may be used in the event of a battery problem between heats to the Battery Quarantine Area. The scrutineers will tell you where to put the batteries. Make sure your batteries are labeled with your car number before you drop them off.

When your team brings the 2nd Heat Batteries for quarantine PLEASE remove them from the wagons. There is just not enough room for all the wagons under the tent. If you want to set your batteries on a barrier, make sure you bring it with you. Empty wagons can be left outside the tent. Greenpower USA is not responsible for the wagons or items used in transporting your batteries. Please make sure you label all team equipment.

Once you have passed scrutineering, bring your team’s laminated pit assignment paper to scrutineering! This will let us know who is ready to go.
